In the second ICDT "Display Future Star Cup" Debate Competition, Sun Zhibo, Yuan Zhengnan, Liu Liu, and Zou Xin won the Best Cooperation Award.

Dr. Sun Zhibo was awarded the Best Debater Award for his outstanding performance in the debate.
Shi Runxiao, Lei Tengteng, Wang Yuqi, and Xie Xinying won the Special Award in the "ICDT Huada Jiutian Cup Innovation Competition" selection.

Professor Abhishek's team was awarded the second prize in the I-zone Innovation Award by the ICDT committee.

HK, Mainland sign I&T pact and plaque presentation ceremony to SKL

Joined by Minister of Science & Technology Zhigang Wang, Chief Executive Carrie Lam today witnessed the signing of the Arrangement on Enhancing Innovation & Technology Co-operation between the Mainland and Hong Kong. The Chief Executive met Mr Wang before the signing and plaque presentation and hosted a lunch for the ceremony's guests afterwards at Government House.

A plaque presentation ceremony by Mr. Wang followed to mark the renaming of the 16 Partner State Key Laboratories in Hong Kong into State Key Laboratories from today, giving them more flexibility to collaborate with different research and development institutions.

Visit to Kyoto University | Kyoto, Japan

Course ELEC5010 named “Introduction to the Design & Implementation of Micro-Systems” is a joint class with Kyoto University, Japan and Tsinghua University, China by video conference. Students have to design a micro-system and finish the characterization with their groupmates after fabrication. Each group consisted of students from different universities would present their result during the final presentation. This year, HKUST’s students had an opportunity to visit Kyoto University, meeting their groupmate and working for the final presentation about the design and measurement result of self-designed micro-systems.
